SAP plans to develop the Hindi version of its Human Capital Management (HCM), Employee Self-Service (ESS), ERP Financials and Logistics solutions, SAP said in a statement.

SAP has launched new on-demand apps, which enables customers to quickly and easily add to on-premise software installations.
SAP has partnered with ePages and HONICO eBusiness, which are launching a cloud-based e-Commerce offering for small and midsize enterprises (SMEs) running the SAP Business All-in-One offering.
The offering sets up an SME with an e-Commerce site that is hosted in the cloud, with Web orders processed alongside traditional sales channels in the SAP back end.

One of the biggest announcements at the OpenWorld 2010 show this week has been the launch of the long-awaited Oracle Fusion Applications suite. The complex suite has been five years in the making so there is a lot riding on its success.
The idea behind Fusion is to offer firms a one-stop-shop for their business applications, combining separate CRM, financials and other apps into one package. This sounds like a big ask for businesses for several reasons.

Business software giant SAP has this week launched an updated version of its Carbon Impact OnDemand software suite designed to make it easier for large multinationals to measure and manage their greenhouse gas
emissions. The new software also features new capabilities that allow businesses to automatically obtain energy use and carbon emission data from building management systems and other business application software suites, as well as enhanced reporting capabilities that help firms produce carbon reports in compliance with regulations such as the UK's Carbon Reduction Commitment.

Bill McDermott and Jim Hagemann Snabe, SAP’s new co-chief executives, promised on Tuesday that there would be a new culture of “fun” and “trust” at the German software company.
In their first public appearance after last month’s announcement of their appointments, Mr McDermott and Mr Snabe pledged to return the German software company to double-digit sales growth by 2012 and to restructure the company to make it more innovative and entrepreneurial.

The chief executive of German software company SAP, Leo Apotheker, has resigned after his contract was not renewed, the company has said.

SAP TechEd 2009 kicked off October 13th, in Phoenix, Arizona. Mecker, as senior vice president of GEPG, reports directly to SAP Executive Board Member John Schwarz, and is responsible for leading all strategic and operational aspects of the SAP ecosystem and partner programs on a global basis. Leadership of the group is being transitioned to Mecker from Zia Yusuf, who will be leaving the company in November to pursue other interests.
